Who publishes this, and how we work

Maine AI is published by Awakened Systems Group, a one-person firm in Maine that builds and runs AI systems for small businesses. We do not pretend to be an independent organization. Transparency is the point.

About

The business behind the guide

Awakened Systems Group sells a small set of concrete things: a $149 AI-readiness audit, a $249-a-month AI front desk, $500 owner workshops, and ongoing AI operations support. Maine AI is how we answer the questions people ask before they buy any of those.

The two sites do different jobs. Maine AI is the useful resource: calculators, templates, funding lists, and honest advice. It is not a second sales page. When a reader is ready to implement something, they are pointed at the relevant offer, and the offer stands on its own.

Full details, pricing, and the live demo line are on the Awakened Systems Group site.

Methodology

How this content is produced

This page is the standard we hold ourselves to. If we break it, call it out, because the whole value of the site is that you can trust the numbers.

Every number has a source

  • Numbers about installed systems come from systems we built and ran, with cost and log data published where relevant.
  • Numbers about businesses come from owners we interviewed, named where we have permission, or anonymized and described honestly.
  • Program and funding listings link to their primary source, and we check them before publishing.

We publish failures

The case study includes what broke during testing and which businesses should not buy the thing we sell. A resource that only shows wins is advertising, not guidance.

We say when we do not know

Where we lack a solid number, we say so and give the range. We do not invent precision to sound authoritative.

What we will not publish

  • Rewritten AI news from national outlets
  • Generic "what is AI" explainers
  • Fifty near-identical city pages
  • Vague claims about what AI "can do" without a Maine example behind them

Authorship

Content is written by the people who build and run the systems, with their names attached where it matters. AI tools are used as drafting aids and are checked by a person against these standards before publishing. The editorial process, not the drafting tool, is the guarantee.

Work with us

Start with the $149 readiness audit. It ends with a written, ranked plan and a clear price. If the answer is "you do not need this yet," that is what you get.
